The number of equity deals done by businesses in the East Midlands has risen significantly from the previous year, according to the British Business Bank.
There were 50 equity investments done in 2021, which is a 32% increase from 2020 and the third the biggest rise in the UK.
The value of these totals £154m, which is a 92% increase from 2020.
However the region still sits as one of the lowest for equity deals done, with only Northern Ireland having fewer.
The figures come from the British Business Bank’s equity tracker, which tracks equity funding for smaller businesses across the UK and this is its eight report.
