A Leicester entrepreneur has been awarded for his role leading and mentoring hundreds of cybersecurity startup founders.
David Chan was named the winner of the ‘Security Leader/Mentor’ category at the ‘Serious Unsung Heroes Awards’, which recognises the UK’s “Unsung Heroes in Cybersecurity”.
He won after judges recognised him as someone in the industry who takes the time to show individuals/teams the ropes and ensure those coming through the ranks and prepared for the future.

“I’m delighted to win this award for my role as EiR at CyLon and HutZero. Over the last 5 years, I’ve mentored about 300 founders and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I’d also like to give special praise to the Godmother award winner Pat Ryan for her wonderful work at Cyber Girls First“
